As an associate technologist for the Open Technology Institute at the New America Foundation Seamus provides program and technical research support for OTI. Seamus' primary focus is on technical outreach and documentation for the Commotion Project.

Seamus has a extensive background in conflict and dispute resolution. He has previously worked and volunteered in both legal and community dispute resolution. His primary research is on conflict resolution between marginalised/stigmatised groups and high-power actors. Seamus continues to explore the implementation and implications of digital communication security and anonymity on conflict resolution with low and high power actors.

Seamus earned a B.A. in communications from San Francisco State University, and a M.S. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University, completing his thesis on organizational dynamics that affect police misconduct.
