As the New America Foundation's media relations associate, Clara Hogan serves as the organization’s press liaison in addition to working closely with policy programs and fellows to create and monitor media outreach strategies.

Prior to becoming media relations associate, Ms. Hogan served as the external relations associate at the New America Foundation, helping to develop and execute New America's events.
 
Ms. Hogan holds a B.A. in Journalism and International Studies as well as a minor in French from the University of Iowa. While at Iowa, she served as managing editor of The Daily Iowan, overseeing a daily newspaper, a nightly TV newscast, and a website that collectively reach more than 50,000 people daily. Ms. Hogan also held several communications related internships, which include working as a reporter at a European weekly in Brussels, Belgium, a journalism intern at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press in Arlington, Va., and a mobile journalist at the Cedar Rapids Gazette in Iowa.
