As a Schwartz Fellow at New America, Jacoby will focus on issues of immigration and social cohesion. She will remain president and CEO of ImmigrationWorks USA, a national federation of small business owners working to advance immigration reform. She is the author of Someone Else’s House: America’s Unfinished Struggle for Integration and editor of Reinventing the Melting Pot: The New Immigrants and What It Means To Be American. She was the deputy editor of The New York Times op-ed page and a senior writer and justice editor for Newsweek. She has been a fellow at the Manhattan Institute and the American Academy in Berlin. She has a BA from Yale University.
