As a Bernard L. Schwartz fellow at New America, Dana Goldstein wrote a political history of the teaching profession in America, The Teacher Wars: A History of America's Most Embattled Profession, which will be published in September, 2014 by Doubleday. Ms. Goldstein contributes regularly to Slate and The Daily Beast, and is a Nation Institute Puffin Foundation Writing Fellow. Her writing on education, health, women's issues, and politics has also appeared in The Nation, The American Prospect, The Washington Post, The Washington Monthly, Business Week, The Atlantic, The Awl, and The New Republic.
