As a Bernard L. Schwartz fellow at New America, Dana Goldstein will write a political history of the teaching profession in America, which will be published by Doubleday. Ms. Goldstein contributes regularly to Slate and The Daily Beast, and is a Nation Institute Puffin Foundation Writing Fellow. Her writing on education, health, women's issues, and politics has also appeared in The Nation, The American Prospect, The Washington Post, The Washington Monthly, Business Week, The Atlantic, The Awl, and The New Republic.
