Jennifer Rowland is a program associate with the National Security Studies Program at the New America Foundation. She is a regular contributor to CNN.com and edits the AfPak Channel blog and daily news roundup for Foreign Policy magazine, a key source of news and analysis for Washington policymakers on events in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Ms. Rowland previously worked as an intern with the Counterterrorism Strategy Initiative at New America, and with a microfinance program at a non-profit, Pact Inc. She graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a BA in Political Science. She is fluent in Arabic and Spanish.
