Clare McCann is a policy analyst with the Education Policy Program at the New America Foundation. She conducts research on a wide range of education issues in support of the Federal Education Budget Project and other components of the program. Her work has appeared in national publications, including Reuters, NPR, USA Today, Education Week, Inside Higher Ed, and The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Previously, McCann served as an intern with the U.S. Department of Education where she researched policies related to Administration efforts and analyzed school- and program-level data. She graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. in Political Science and a focus in Public Policy.
