As a program associate for the Global Assets Project, Eric Tyler provides research, writing, and programmatic support for the team. In particular, Eric is working to build and manage the Savings for the Poor Innovation and Knowledge Network (SPINNAKER), an online platform financed by the Gates Foundation to share research, analysis and experiences around savings products for the poor. His writing focuses on the intersection of information and communication technology and economic development.
Before joining New America, Eric worked at Plan USA, an international NGO working in 48 developing countries. He also interned in the Office of Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO). Eric graduated from Bucknell University, where he double majored in international relations and philosophy. He has also studied international relations theory and Spanish at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador.
