Netanyahu Visit
Washington, DC -- President Obama meets with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu today, beginning a several week-long focus on Middle East diplomacy.
The Obama administration wants to reinforce with the hard line Likud party leader that a Palestinian state is the best option for peace in the region.
Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled to visit the White House next week and Obama will continue his push for change in the region when he meets with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak next week as well. Obama will then travel to Egypt in June to deliver an address to the Muslim world.
New America Foundation Middle East Task Force Directors Daniel Levy and Amjad Atallah are available for interviews.
