Rachel L. White

As Vice President of the New America Foundation, Rachel White is responsible for leading New America's organizational and development strategies. In close partnership with the President, Ms. White is the chief liaison with the Board of Directors, Leadership Council, and New York Advisory Council, and works closely with them, as well as with private foundations and corporations, to maximize the impact and effectiveness of the foundation and to secure the annual budget. With an extensive background in regional, event, and campaign fundraising, Ms. White brings nearly 15 years of strategy and development experience to the New America Foundation.
Prior to joining New America, Ms. White held the position of Director of Leadership Programs at World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Over her 10-year tenure with WWF, Ms. White played a lead role in securing $167 million for the Living Planet Campaign, established fundraising and outreach programs in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, DC, and Houston, created four Program Leadership Committees, designed and executed fundraising galas, salon dinners, and program briefings throughout the U.S., and served on the Strategic Assessment Team at WWF to realign institutional priorities and focus. She began her career in Washington at the National Women's Law Center and the League of Women Voters. Ms. White earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Thought and Political Economy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
