Niko Karvounis

Former Policy Analyst, Next Social Contract Initiative, New America Foundation

Niko Karvounis was a Policy Analyst with New America's Next Social Contract Initiative before leaving to attend Harvard Business School in 2009. Prior to coming to New America, Mr. Karvounis was a Program Officer at the Century Foundation, where he researched and wrote on health care and social policy and helped launch Health Beat, the foundation's widely cited health care blog.

Mr. Karvounis's writing has appeared in popular publications like Slate, Mother Jones, AlterNet, and specialty journals such as the Medicare Management Review and Theoretical Criminology. His work has also been cited by the New York Times, National Journal, The American Prospect, the Kaiser Family Foundation and Health Affairs, amongst others. He holds a B.A. from Harvard University and an MSc from the University of Oxford School of Law.
