Christina Satkowski

As a program associate for the Education Policy Program at New America, Christina Satkowski tracked education policy news, researched PK-12 and higher education issues, and wrote for the program’s policy blogs. She focused on policies to improve access, quality, and alignment in early education.
Prior to joining New America, Ms. Satkowski was a desk assistant at "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer" on PBS, where she conducted background research for the program’s broadcast segments and was a writer for NewsHour Extra, an online news site for teachers and students. She also interned at CNN International and spent three summers teaching in the Italian language immersion program of Concordia Language Villages. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wellesley College, Ms. Satkowski holds a B.A. degree in International Relations. She also studied political economy at the London School of Economics.
